Foram revelados os nomeados para os Emmys. E a novidade é a ausência de A Guerra dos Tronos, vencedora crónica das últimas edições, já que a série só voltará a ser exibida para a sua próxima temporada após o encerramento das inscrições para o prémio americano de televisão.
Com esta baixa de peso, a série que dominou as nomeações nas principais categorias foi Westworld, com entradas para a melhor série dramática, melhor ator em série dramática, melhor atriz em série dramática, melhor ator secundário em série dramática e melhor atriz secundária em série dramática.
